BODY OF WAR
Body of war is a single screen film for installation about the nature of military gesture. Through an exploration of training exercises performed by four male soldiers the piece considers the conflict between the brutality of war choreography and the humanity of its ‘performers’. In a detailed deconstruction of hand to hand combat techniques, Body of War stages the pathos of military strategy in its formal repetition of acts of violence.
