This conference centres on my recent trilogy: The Intimacy of Violence, which is comprised of Body of War (2010), Fear, Defence, Disappearance (2011) and The Speed of Violence (2011), works which poetically consider the nature of military training, with particular attention to its representation of the violent gesture.
